Bigg Boss Season 1 Tamil Contestant Oviya

Oviya (born Helen Nelson; 29 April 1991) is an Indian model and film actress, who mainly works in the Tamil film industry. She rose to fame with the 2010 comedy film Kalavani.

Career :
Oviya completed BA in Functional English at Vimala college in Thrissur, before director Sargunam approached her for Kalavani.
The film saw her feature opposite Vimal, and the film subsequently gained positive reviews and went on to become a sleeper hit at the box office. She subsequently received several offers.

She was seen in half-a-dozen films in the following 12 months, including a guest appearance in Kamal Haasan's Manmadan Ambu and the Kannada and Telugu remakes of Kalavani, in which she reprised her character from the original.
In 2012 she was seen in Pandiraj's Marina, and Sundar C's Kalakalappu.

Her next release was Sillunu Oru Sandhippu, opposite Vimal. She also appeared in Moodar Koodam, Madha Yaanai Koottam and Pulivaal. In 2014, she signed her first Bollywood project Jaat, besides a Tamil film, She is currently a contestant in the Bigg Boss Tamil 1 reality show hosted by Kamal Haasan in Star Vijay.

Oviya Profile :
She made her acting debut in 2007 Malayalam film Kangarro and she shot to fame for her role in 2010 comedy film Kalavani, which was also her debut film in Tamil.

She received positive acclaim for her role in the film and subsequently she garnered several offers, including Kamal Haasan Manmadhan Ambu, Marina and Kalakalappu.

Some of her notable films include Moodar Koodam, Madha Yaanai Koottam, Hello Naan Pei Pesuren, Yaamirukka Bayamey among others.

Oviya is currently a participant in Tamil version of popular TV reality show Bigg Boss, hosted be actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan. She seemed wining the likes of the audiences through her acts from the bginning of the show.

Oviya’s current relationship status is single. She revealed in the Bigg Boss Tamil show that hasn’t in relationship with anyone yet as she was busy in movies and other works. Looks like she has interest with Bigg Boss Tamil contestant Aarav whom she proposed on the very second day.

She was born and raised in Kerala but she currently resides in Chennai.
